Admission Information:

Admission Requirement

For Higher Secondary (Two Year) Course :

To be eligible for admission into the Higher Secondary first year class of Arts, a student has to pass the H.S.L.C. Examination of SEBA or any other equivalent examinations recognised by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC).

For B.A. Course :

To be eligible for admission into first year of B.A., a student has to pass the P.U./ /Pre-degree / Higher Secondary Final Examination or Equivalent Examination.


Admission Procedure

Application for admission into the College should be made in the prescribed Application Form issued by the College.

Admission into the College is Governed by the College Admission Rules and the relevant Roster for Reservation of ST(H), ST(P), SC, OBC, MOBC as admissible is strictly followed in admission.

Student shall have to produce Original Marksheets, Certificates etc. at the time of admission. Attested copies of the same are to be attached with the Admission Form.

The College Authority reserves the right to refuse or cancel admission to a candidate without assigning any reason. The decision of the College Authority is final and binding.


Attendence

To be eligible to appear in the H.S. and T.D.C. final examination a student must attend minimum classes in each individual subject as given below.

1.    Minimum 75% and above   :    Eligible as regular candidates

2.    Above 60% and below 75%    :    Eligible with fine as non-collegiate candidate

3.    Below 60%     :    Discollegiate (not eligible to appear in final examination)


College Uniform

No student will be allowed to enter the college premises or attend classes without the prescribe uniform mentioned below..
1.    Boys :     White Shirt and Black Trousers.
2.    Girls :     i.  Muga coloured mekhla, white chaddar with blue border and blue blouse.
                         ii.  Sky blue salwar kameez and white chunni


Identity Card

Non-Transferable identity cards will be issued to students of H.S. 1st year and T.D.C. 1st year classes. The students of other classes will have to renew the identity cards already provided to them and produce them on demand. A student must keep the identity card with him or her during college hours. He/She must produce the identity card with him or her for identity in the student's union election.


Examination

Apart from the final examinations conducted by the A.H.S.E.C. and G.U., Four Departmental unit test will be held in each class in each academic session all of which are compulsory. No application seeking exemption from appearing at any internal examination will be entered.
