The education department of Moirabari College as a subject was introduced in the year 1981 since its inception of the college in both Higher Secondary and Undergraduate level. With the increase in the number of the students and responding to the demand of the students the Honours Courses in the subject was started in 2005. At present the department has three full time teachers and one Laboratory bearer. The department has a well equipped and well furnished psychological laboratory practical room with sufficient nos. of psychological practical apparatus. The department offers both honours and generic elective courses for undergraduate level prescribed curriculum by Gauhati University. Besides the normal classes the department offers certificate courses in “Women and Society” and “Mental Health and Stress Management”. The department has been making necessary arrangements for preparing project papers, organizing seminars and workshops and field trips etc. The department has an alumni association. The department has always been trying to playing a pivotal role in imparting quality education since its inception.
